Singer-songwriter and America’s Sweetheart Taylor Swift has once again proved that she is not the kind of celebrity she was before.
Being pushed into the spotlight at an early age, Swift revealed how she struggled with utilizing her platform.
Thanks to her Netflix documentary ‘Miss Americana’, viewers got a brief glance at the songstress’ journey on facing “a transformational period in her life as she learns to embrace her role not only as a songwriter and performer, but as a woman harnessing the full power of her voice”.
Since then, Swift had been fearlessly outspoken about her political views. One instance was her fueled tweet against US President Donald Trump, which received mixed reactions from fellow citizens.
After stoking the fires of white supremacy and racism your entire presidency, you have the nerve to feign moral superiority before threatening violence? ‘When the looting starts the shooting starts’??? We will vote you out in November. @realdonaldtrump

This series of events lead us to today, when the Grammy-Award winning artist posted an Instagram story detailing how people can help on the current issues happening in the world.
“When you’re done: Educate yourself. This doesn’t go away once the topic isn’t trending.”
Once you swipe up, you will be directed to a page that petitions to scrap the Anti-Terror Bill.
President Duterte has deemed the passage of Anti-Terror Bill as urgent, stating that it “address the urgent need to strengthen the law on anti-terrorism in order to adequately and effectively contain the menace of terrorist acts for the preservation of national security and the promotion of general welfare.”
As of June 3, the House of Representatives approved it on second reading.
