Tatay Roy was a security guard who lost his job due to the pandemic. He then looked for another job and created his woven bags and sold them for PHP150-250 each. He was reminded of his mother, who used to wave when he was younger.

The uploader shared that Tatay Roy, for him to save his transportation, was forced to sleep in the “bangketa” (sidewalk) in Tondo, Manila. He stayed there for 3-days before he could go home.

His daughter, Charlene Doroja thanked the uploader for helping his father sold his artisan bag. Doroja commented on the uploader’s post wrote, “Maraming salamat po sa pagtulong at pag-post kay papa.”

Tatay Roy sells his woven bags around Mendiola, Manila City Hall, central market and Divisoria.
