“My biggest dream as a travel influencer is to continue growing in a way that creates real impact,” JM shared. “Of course, I want to see more of the world and share those experiences, but beyond that, I want my content to inspire people to travel more and experience the world more.”
This desire for meaningful influence drives him to look at storytelling not just as a career but as a calling. In the long run, he envisions building “a platform that not only tells my own stories but also opens doors for others, maybe by mentoring aspiring creators, collaborating with communities, or even creating projects that promote responsible and meaningful travel.”
As JM continues to explore and evolve, his sense of purpose remains grounded in authenticity and connection. “My goal is to keep exploring, keep learning, and keep sharing in a way that’s true to my values,” he said.
While his travel map is filled with unforgettable memories, JM still has plenty of dreams waiting to be explored. “As of now, I really want to explore South America. Places like Peru, Brazil, and Argentina have always fascinated me with their rich culture and stunning landscapes,” he shared. “But at the same time, I also want to experience more of Asia. I feel a deep connection here, and I know that many of my viewers can relate to it too.”
For JM, destinations are more than just pins on a map. They are sources of stories that resonate with his audience. “My bucket list isn’t just about where I want to go but also about the kind of stories and destinations that will resonate with them, inspire them, and maybe even help them plan their own journeys.”
As storytelling continues to evolve in the digital age, JM believes authenticity will define the next chapter. “People now want to see the real side of travel, not just the picture-perfect moments, but also the challenges, the lessons, and the simple joys along the way,” he said. “As a creator, I see myself adapting by staying true to that. No matter how platforms or technology evolve, I believe the essence of travel storytelling will stay the same. It’s about sharing experiences, connecting with people, and inspiring others to explore in their own way.”
Looking ahead, JM is also open to expanding his storytelling beyond YouTube. “I always say that we are all a work in progress, and I’m definitely open to expanding beyond YouTube. I see it as another way to grow, to reach more people, and to share stories in different formats,” he shared. “Right now, I’m already trying to be more active on other platforms like Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok so I can connect with different audiences in different ways. Each platform has its own style of storytelling, and I enjoy learning how to adapt while still staying true to my voice.”
But even as his horizons widen, JM’s message to the next generation of Filipino storytellers remains heartfelt and grounded in faith. “Always trust God in all that you do. He is the one who will guide your path and give you the strength to keep moving forward,” he said. “Love your family and love your audience, because those are the people who will inspire you, support you, and remind you why you started.”
He also leaves behind words that speak to the heart of every aspiring creator. “Always provide value in your content. Always share something that can help, inspire, or touch the lives of others. Love what you do, because passion will carry you through the challenges. Be humble, no matter how far you go, and be consistent, because growth takes time, patience, and commitment.”
Ultimately, JM Banquicio believes that every story has the power to make a difference. “Most of all, remember that your stories have the power to make an impact,” he said. “Use your voice to spread positivity, inspire others to explore, and remind people of the beauty of life and the world we live in.”
