Global Christian humanitarian organization World Vision Development Foundation Inc. distributed 1,300 Noche Buena gift packages to 1,300 families during their Noche Buena Gift Distribution at the Malabon Amphitheater yesterday, December 8.

Joined by volunteers, ambassadors, and special guests, World Vision spread joy, hope, and love to children in Malabon City through games, dance, meaningful talks, and the main event—gift-giving.

The Distribution is part of their annual fundraising initiative, the Noche Buena Campaign, which aims to raise funds to provide Noche Buena gifts to 24,000 children this year, in hopes of keeping the spirit of Christmas alive.

“Ito pong Noche Buena campaign po natin ay isa po sa mga bagay na itinataguyod po ng World Vision Development Foundation dahil naniniwala po kami na isa ito sa nakapagpapasaya sa ating mga pamilya, sa ating mga bata, dahil nakakatanggap tayo ng mumunting regalo na nakatutulong po sa ating mga pamilya,” World Vision Philippines National Director Dr. Herbert “Harvey” Q. Carpio said.

TV Personality and World Vision Ambassador Joyce Pring also joined the event with her husband, actor Juancho Triviño, and interacted with and personally gave the gift packs to the kids.

Also present at the event were student-athlete and World Vision Youth Ambassador Zachi Chua, who encouraged the children on the value of sharing, and Pastor Teresita Aquino of the Church of the Living Faith, who shared a message on the true meaning of Christmas.

In a video, World Vision Philippines Resource Development Director Jun Godornes expressed his heartfelt thanks to their partners and campaign sponsors.

“We’ve been doing this since 2006 and for the last 18 years, you’ve always been there, making sure na meron pong ngiti sa mga pisngi, sa mga mukha ng mga bata at kanilang mga pamilya ‘pag nagsasalo-salo sila. Thank you for being our fuel for our mission for the Filipino children,” he said.
