The De La Salle-College of Saint Benilde (DLS-CSB) has prepared its campus as it anticipates limited face-to-face (LF2F) classes beginning the third trimester of the Academic Year 2021 to 2022.

The gradual reopening of the facilities is in compliance with the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) and the Department of Health (DOH) Joint Memorandum Circular (JMC) No. 2021-004, which allows LF2F classes for higher education in areas under Alert Level Systems 1, 2 and 3.

To ensure the smooth and safe adjustment, the LF2F arrangement will only apply to undergraduate programs under the School of Hotel, Restaurant and Institution Management (SHRIM) and the School of Design and Arts (SDA).

“For the 3rd Term pilot implementation of the LF2F, we only selected a few courses to be offered. Mostly are the culinary laboratory courses and a few lab courses from the International Hospitality Management, Hospitality Management and Travel and Tourism Management programs, prioritizing our graduating students,” said SHRIM Dean Marie Castro.

Under the SDA, LF2F will be conducted for four degrees from the New Media Cluster, to include Animation, Multimedia Arts, Digital Filmmaking, and Photography, plus six programs from Arts and Culture Cluster, namely, Arts Management, Dance, Theater Arts, Design Foundation, Production Design, and Music Production.

The college stated participation in physical classes is not compulsory. Students who wish to attend are required to present either a scanned copy or a digital certificate issued by VaxCertPH as proof of booster or full vaccination status and other pertinent documents, to be collected by the Office of the Registrar.

Students must also be a beneficiary of PhilHealth, either covered by parents for minor students or with their own account for those who are of age.

Students who are immunocompromised, with comorbidities, or part of the Most-at-Risk Population (MARP) were encouraged to coordinate with Benilde Center for Health and Medical Services.

The college continues to implement the standard health guidelines such as social distancing protocols as well as the usage of face masks.

DLS-CSB has announced that it is currently accepting applications for Academic Year 2022 to 2023. For a comprehensive list of degree offerings, sample tuition fees and online application processes and requirements, visit apps1.benilde.edu.ph/Apply.
