2. Samurai Champloo

‘Samurai Champloo’ is Shinichiro Watanabe’s follow up work to the critically-acclaimed ‘Cowboy Bebop’, and for sure, it did not disappoint! ‘Samurai Champloo’ is the story of Fuu, who was once saved by a rogue Mugen and a ronin name Jin. By fate and by luck, the three end up traveling together to find the samurai who smells like sunflowers. The trio’s little adventures and misadventures under the overarching plot is what makes this anime wonderful. The incorporation of hip-hop music in a samurai genre is what makes it extraordinary. The fast cuts in between are happy pills for your stressed out soul.
