The overall tally of coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) recoveries nationwide rose to 2,090,228, with another 13,644 new recovered cases reported on Thursday.

In its latest Covid-19 bulletin, the Department of Health (DOH) said the figure is equivalent to a 90.7-percent recovery rate out of a total of 2,304,192 who have contracted the disease nationwide.

The number of new infections, meanwhile, breached the 20,000-mark anew at 21,261, raising the active case tally to 177,946.

Of the active cases, 86.1 percent are mild, 9.2 percent are asymptomatic, 1.4 percent are severe, 2.65 percent are moderate, and 0.6 percent are in critical condition.

The DOH also logged 277 new fatalities, raising the death toll to 36,018.

The DOH said 12 duplicates were removed from the total case count.

“Some 80 duplicates were removed from the total case count as 65 of these are recoveries and one is death. Moreover, 174 cases that were previously tagged as recoveries were reclassified as deaths after final validation,” the DOH said.

All laboratories were operational on Sept. 14, while two laboratories were not able to submit their data to the Covid-19 Document Repository System (CDRS).

Based on data in the last 14 days, the two non-reporting labs contribute, on average, 0.2 percent of samples tested and 0.3 percent of positive individuals.

To date, 77 percent of 4,300 intensive care unit beds, 68 percent of 20,900 isolation beds, 73 percent of 15,900 ward beds, and 57 percent of 3,300 ventilators dedicated to patients with Covid-19 are in use nationwide.

In Metro Manila, 79 percent of 1,500 intensive care unit beds, 65 percent of 4,500 isolation beds, 72 percent of 4,500 ward beds, and 61 percent of 1,200 ventilators dedicated to patients with Covid-19 are being used. (PNA)
