20 More Modernized PUJs To Ply Routes In Nueva Ecija

An additional fleet of modernized jeepneys will ply the major routes in the province of Nueva Ecija.

The Zaragoza Ramstar Transport Service Cooperative launched on Tuesday 20 air-conditioned public utility jeepneys (PUJs) at the Zaragosa Municipal Hall, Tarlac-Sta. Rosa Road in Zaragoza town.

This brought to 30 the total number of modernized PUJs that the cooperative will be deploying along the routes of Cabanatuan City – Tarlac City via Sta. Rosa, Zaragoza, La Paz; Cabanatuan City – Zaragoza via Sta. Rosa and Tarlac-Zaragoza via La Paz.

Rodolfo Nueda, chairperson of the Zaragoza Ramstar Transport Service Cooperative, thanked the Department of Transportation, the Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) and other concerned agencies for their continued support to different cooperatives which enables them to provide better transport service to the commuting public.

“The Zaragoza Ramstar Transport Cooperative wants to provide a comfortable life to all public commuters in Nueva Ecija by serving them with efficient, safe and reliable transportation in the province,” Nueda said.

LTFRB Regional Director Nasrudin Talipasan, for his part, thanked the transport service cooperative for continuously supporting the government’s PUV modernization program (PUVMP).

“Layunin ng nasabing kooperatiba na palawakin pa ang bilang ng mga modernong pampublikong sasakyan sa probinsya ng Nueva Ecija (The said cooperative aims to expand the number of modern public vehicles in the province of Nueva Ecija),” he said in a statement.

Talipasan said the modern PUJs are environment-friendly, safe, secure and comfortable and give due consideration to persons with disabilities (PWDs).

He said more commuters would be able to enjoy riding air-conditioned, spacious, safe and convenient modernized PUJs.

He also assured that the LTFRB will continue to provide technical assistance to the transport service cooperatives in the region. (PNA)
