The implementation of the K-12 program in the Philippines proved a challenge for education school systems to raise the standards of learning and teaching across academic institutions. In order to prepare senior high graduates for tertiary education and eventual employment, it became necessary for both public and private schools and even universities to improve learning environments, upgrade teachers’ skills, and engage with stakeholders for support and collaboration.

To achieve this feat, STI begins during the more pivotal years of Senior High School (SHS) where students are already being prepared for whatever career path they may choose.

Aside from employing the same global standard of teaching and learning among its senior high schools, STI also introduces modern and relevant programs and tools to aid incoming college students.
The newly implemented STI College Admission Test—the aim of which is to measure students’ aptitude and personality prior to admission to an STI school—is one of STI’s most recent interventions to guide senior high students as they pursue college education in any STI school.
“As part of our commitment to enhance our student’s essential life skills in order to succeed in their endeavors, we developed this tool to help STI schools gain a better understanding of their students,” explains STI VP for Academics Aisa Q. Hipolito.
