Acoustic pop artist Acel looks forward to a promising future while reminiscing prized moments from the past in her latest single under DNA Music, ‘Alaala’.

“As a musician, may this music soothe you and keep your mind off the negative for a while and focus on what we can do, and also reminisce the beautiful memories we have with our loved ones,” shared Acel.

The former band vocalist wrote the music and lyrics to ‘Alaala,’ with arrangement and production by Jack Rufo. Acel also dropped the music video of the song last May, which showcased how memories affect one’s daily life.

The Kapamilya artist held an online gig with guests Trisha Denise, Yeng Constantino, and Cooky Chua this month, in which they celebrated her 25th year in the industry through musical performances. A lucky fan who won the “Sing Alaala Challenge” also graced the virtual event as a guest.

In 2019, Acel’s delicate and soothing voice was lent to produce a new version of Rico Blanco’s ‘Your Universe,’ which she followed up with the release of her original record ‘Pitik Bulag,’ about how love always wins despite the dissimilarities of romantic couples.

She is part of the roster of artists under DNA Music, a record label of ABS-CBN Music that seeks to support the talent of rock and alternative artists and uplift the local bands industry.
