Four nurses from a private hospital here have volunteered to be sent to the National Capital Region to help curb the rising number of coronavirus cases there.
In a statement, the Manuel J. Santos Hospital (MJSH) said the nurses, who had been fully vaccinated against Covid-19, flew to Manila on Wednesday and would be assigned to its sister hospital, the Makati Medical Center (MMC).
The MMC serves as one of the referral facilities of the Metro Pacific Hospital Group in Metro Manila.
“This is the second time in a span of one year that nurses from Manuel J. Santos voluntarily flew to Manila to help fight Covid-19,” the statement read.
At the height of the pandemic last year, eight of their nurses volunteered to serve at the Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital in Manila.
“To our brave volunteers, your dedication and commitment in serving the nation in these trying times is an inspiration to all. Maraming salamat po sa inyong lahat!” the MJSH said. (PNA)
