A total of 247,856 Bulakenyos have been vaccinated against coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19), the Provincial Health Office and Provincial Task Force against COVID-19 reported on Thursday.
Patricia Alvaro, spokesperson of the Provincial Health Office (PHO), said in an interview that of the total, 195,268 Bulakenyos received their first dose while 52,588 have already completed the required two doses.
Alvaro also said the province has received 367,428 doses of vaccines from the Department of Health (DOH) for the continued implementation of the National Vaccination Program.
She said most of the vaccines delivered were Sinovac, AstraZeneca and Pfizer.
Under the A1 priority sector, a total of 24,257 Bulakenyos have completed the two doses while 35,174 had their first dose.
They are the front-line workers in various health facilities of the government and private sectors such as doctors, nurses, medical technologists, barangay health workers, janitors, and others in that sector.
As of Wednesday, a total of 15,321 senior citizens or A2 priority sector have already completed two doses of vaccine.
For the A3 priority adults with comorbidities or illnesses, 10,819 were done with the two doses of vaccines and 53,682 have already been vaccinated with the first dose.
At the start of the A4 priority vaccination, 15,814 individuals were injected with the first dose of which 2,177 had already taken two doses.
They include the so-called “economic workers” such as those in public transport, market vendors, retailers of department stores and supermarkets and delivery services, media people, overseas Filipino workers, social workers, and judges.
On the other hand, 104 individuals in the A5 priority had previously received the first dose of which 14 already completed the two doses. They are the individual beneficiaries of the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps) based on the National Household Targeting System for Poverty Reduction (NHTS-PR). (PNA)
