University of the Philippines Diliman Chemical Engineering student gained attention all over social media after getting a 1.0 general weighted average (GWA).
Sachika Azumi Saguisa, a freshman Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering student of UPD, posted her first and second semester transcripts for Academic Year 2020-2021.
As a first-year student of a country’s premier university, she had her own fair share of struggles and didn’t expect to earn such achievement, especially in this new learning setup.
“To be honest po, I didn’t expect it at all, but I was hopeful. I felt like I had a chance kasi alam ko naman how hard I worked for those grades,” she shared with Philippine Star.
In a post by Gabay Isko, her organization, Saguisa grabbed the attention of many netizens lauded her achievements.
Now with almost 120 thousand reactions and 45 thousand shares, netizens did not just send their warm congratulations but also displayed yet again their witty reactions.
Even Tiffany Uy didn’t miss the spotlight. A UP who earned a GWA of 1.004 – the highest-ever recorded grade in UP’s history since World War II.
Sachika is now being dubbed as a saint for her achievements.
She graduated with high honors at CARAGA Regional Science High School where she wasn’t able to finish taking up ABM and opted to prepare herself and took up STEM instead.
