BLACKPINK’s Lisa catches two Guinness World Records titles after one month of her “LALISA” music video release date.
On October 8, the Guinness World Records announced on its website that the first solo album of Lisa, titled ‘LALISA’ has become the most viewed YouTube music video by a solo artist in 24 hours with 73.6 million views.
Lisa beats the American singer-songwriter Taylor Swift’s song “’Me!” (feat. Brendon Urie of Panic! At The Disco) that was released in April 2019 that gained 65.2 million views.
After Jennie’s “Solo” and Rose’s “On The Ground”, Lisa is the third member of K-pop girl group Blackpink that makes a solo debut. Meanwhile, the girl group’s fourth member Jisoo is focused on her acting career in the film industry.
“On The Ground” was released last March 2021 that made Rose become the first artist to reach number one on a Billboard Global chart as a soloist and the most viewed YouTube music video within 24 hours.
Today, Lisa’s single album broke the record of her fellow members, as she is the new title holder of most viewed YouTube music video in 24 hours.
In line with this achievement, Guinness World Records stated that “(BLACKPINK) recent success also means that the band features inside the Guinness World Records 2022 book within the social media section.”
Lisa is considered as the most popular member of the group, she has over 63 million followers on Instagram and has 8 million subscribers in her Official Lilifilm YouTube channel.
BLACKPINK is formed by four members namely Jennie, Lisa, Rose and Jisoo. Their music has won multiple awards, including a People’s Choice Award, a Teen Choice Award and an MTV Video Music Award.
