Have you ever tried googling how to make a fireplace without fire? Well, search no more because a guy on the internet made something extraordinary that you can actually take the idea to your own house.

Home Buddies, a safe space for home enthusiasts, is a Facebook group that shares inspiration, tips, experiences, finds, and everything in between to individuals with the same vision in beautifying their homes at a very low cost or no cost at all.

Since the pandemic started, people have begun hoarding artistic stuff for their homes and Home Buddies became a go-to site for most Filipinos who want to share, post, and find something aesthetic and useful to complete every home’s needs and accessories.

Christmas season is in two months, and Home Buddies’ members are starting to share some ideas that make Pinoy Christmas more appealing.

And out of all the posted Christmas decors, this Do-It-Yourself Fireplace has caught the attention of many as it looks authentic in the photo placed beside a Christmas tree and Santa Claus.

Don So Hiong, a Home Buddy member, shared his cozy home wrapped up with the DIY Fireplace he made.

The DIY Fireplace was made of an old television box, PVC bricks that is worth PHP 55, and a fireplace simulator he bought at the Dapitan Arcade which only costs at PHP 1,500.

The creativity of Hiong reached various households which made them try the DIY Fireplace. Upon posting, different versions of Fireplaces were shared in the comment section of Hiong’s post as well.

Like Hiong, Hobel P. Rovillo, who is a member of Home Buddies, was also inspired by the idea and made his DIY fireplace out of a few pieces of chopped wood and a Christmas light used as an alternative for the fire.
