From trends in challenges and audio, it is no doubt that TikTok has risen to the top and garnered millions of users all over the world. Millions of videos are shared and viewed across the platform which prompted the app developers to expand their efforts in ensuring the safety of every user.

TikTok has launched Brand Safety Center, a resource page that contains an array of updated initiatives, policies, and products that reflects the dedication to the implementation of safety in the platforms. The resource page includes the following sections: Our Mission, Latest Announcements, Partnerships & Certifications, Transparency, Success Stories, and Watch & Learn.

With their network of partners and industry trade associations, the platform also provides brand safety solutions for TikTok advertisers, in addition to their service to ensure advertisers that their branded content appears in safe and appropriate user videos. These solutions include the TikTok Inventory Filter, a post-bid solution from Zefr for all Southeast Asian markets, including Indonesia, Vietnam, the Philippines, Malaysia, Singapore, and Thailand, and pre-bid solutions from OpenSlate in Indonesia.

The platform also launched its first two quarterly Community Guidelines Enforcement Reports in 2021 and updates to their Community Guidelines just this year. This showcases their aspiration to become the most transparent and accountable company in the industry with deeper insights into their operations in Southeast Asia and the rest of the world.

TikTok also announced the opening of a new physical Transparency and Accountability Center in Ireland, in addition to existing facilities in Los Angeles and Washington, DC, where virtual tours are still held. The platform also updated the TikTok website’s Transparency Center to keep the TikTok community informed on the platform’s efforts to provide the best app experience for them.

The launch of the new Brand Safety Center is only the first step in TikTok’s aspiration to become the world’s safest platform for its users and brands. Over the next year, TikTok seeks expanding partnerships and solutions into new markets, work alongside industry groups to set definitions and standards for critical brand safety issues, such as misinformation and ad adjacency, support TikTok creators and brands working together in authentic and safe storytelling efforts, enable small and medium-sized businesses to make informed decisions to ensure their brand’s safety, and adapt and expand TikTok’s solutions to match new product innovations.

As the digital era constantly evolves, TikTok ensures that they will constantly adapt to changes and work alongside the industry to work on challenges, expand their expertise, and excitingly bring entertainment, creativity, and joy to more than a billion people around the world.
