The city government has processed the registrations of at least 15,315 businesses through the Business One-Stop-Shop (BOSS) in January this year, data on Wednesday showed.

According to the Business and Licensing Office (BPLO), some 13,014 applications were processed manually, while 2,301 were registered online.

Of the number, 4,202 business permits have already been issued.

“We can release the business permits, once they are finished with all the clearances,” Permits and Licensing head Stela Rose Rayos said.

Based on the City Council’s Resolution 21, series of 2023, business permit applications can be processed at the BOSS located in the 4th floor of Ayala Malls Capitol Central until Feb. 15.

Under the facility, government agencies grant clearances for business permits in one location, including the Bureau of Fire Protection, City Health Office, Permits and Licensing Division, City Treasurer’s Office-Licensing Division, and City Planning and Development Office-Zoning Division.

Those who want to avail of the online processing can visit https://ebpls.bacolodcity.gov.ph

Last year’s data showed a total of 22,795 business permits were issued by the BPLO from Jan. 1 to Dec. 29. (PNA)
