Roxas Boulevard will be temporarily closed to vehicular traffic on June 12 to give way to activities for the celebration of the 125th Philippine Independence Day.

Both south and northbound lanes from T.M. Kalaw to P. Burgos Streets will be closed from 5 a.m. to 10 a.m. for a flag-raising ceremony, according to the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA).

Meanwhile, Katigbak Parkway, South Road and Independence Road will be temporarily closed from 12:01 a.m. to 10 p.m. to give way to a civic-military parade.

Affected trucks going to North Harbor are advised to reroute from SLEX straight ahead to Osmeña Highway then right turn to Quirino Avenue, straight to Nagtahan Bridge, going to Lacson Avenue, left turn to Yuseco Sreet., and straight ahead to Capulong Street then right turn or turn left to R-10 Road to destination.

Trucks coming from Parañaque are advised to turn right at Quirino Avenue to Nagtahan then Lacson Avenue going to their destination. Trucks going to the south may use the same route.

The MMDA will deploy traffic enforcers to assist in traffic management and deploy tow trucks, ambulances and vacuum trucks. (PNA)
