The Philippine Franchising Association (PFA) is going up north to promote franchising business to Ilocanos.
Set from June 16 to 17, the first franchising expo in the province will be held at the Robinsons Ilocos Mall with around 60 franchise investments and business opportunities available.
Dubbed as “Franchise Negosyo Para sa Ilocos,” the two-day expo will showcase regional and national franchise brands looking for franchisees and area developers in the Ilocos Region.
To familiarize Ilocanos with franchising business, Sherill Quintana, chairperson of the PFA, said in a statement Wednesday that educational franchise seminars such as Franchising 101, How to Franchise Your Business, and How to Invest in the Right Franchise will be presented to participants.
“This will be integrated in the trade show and it will be open for the public, particularly among Overseas Filipino Workers, micro, small and medium entrepreneurs including retirees, expats and other Filipinos who are exploring franchising opportunities and other alternative sources of income,” she said.
According to Quintana, Franchise Negosyo is being brought to the regional areas in line with the PFA’s objective to sustain the growth of franchising as a tool for inclusive development as well as help PFA members expand across the country.
“We believe that as we generate awareness on the concept and benefits of franchising, we will be able to help bring the sector back to pre-pandemic levels or even higher. This event also aims to help create thousands of enterprises and generate millions of jobs in the country as well as promote the culture of entrepreneurship via franchising in the regions,” she added.
Expected at the event are entrepreneurs, industry leaders, businessmen and investors. Preregistration is now ongoing at https://www.pfa.org.ph/event-details/ilocos and is free of charge. (PNA)
