A former security guard from Bohol proved that looking back to his roots is a must after going back to the local government of Cainta to express his gratitude for letting him stay in their shelter.
On June 30, Mayor Johnielle Keith “Kit” Nieto posted a statement on his Facebook account about how they helped a former security guard who was affected by the pandemic.
According to the said post, the former security guard was seen lying down near the sculpture at Junction, Cainta, almost two months ago.
A team from the mayor’s office saw the former security guard and brought him to the shelter, where he stayed for 45 days with free boarding and lodging.
After eating breakfast, the mayor said that the former security guard would go out to stroll around and collect junk so he could earn money and save up.
With the government’s help and the observed dedication of the former security guard to save up his own money, netizens applauded them for inspiring others to do good work.
