Ain’t no mountain high enough for Philippine Obstacle Sports Federation athlete Angelica Torres as she climbed the circumferential trail of Mount Apo.

Last October 24 to 26, Torres voluntarily joined the climb initiative of Parent Advocates for Visually Impaired Children Incorporated (PAVIC), which aimed at making no adventure impossible for special people.

At 20 years old, she was dubbed the first visually impaired woman to climb the second tallest mountain in the country and was cited with a special certificate of the “Sta Cruz Trailblazer Award.”

Along her journey to the summit were her two support guides, Chezq Zeeq and Sab Galon, while all three were assisted by the mountain guides Arnie Macarenas and Julieann Morales.

Torres proves that climbing your way to success is through determination, and with a bit of help, there is absolutely nothing stopping your way.
