Thousands of residents from far-flung areas in Dinagat Islands province stand to benefit directly from the two-day mobile services of the Philippine Statistics Authority in the Caraga Region (PSA-13) slated on May 13 to 14.
In a statement on Monday, Governor Nilo Demerey Jr. expressed his gratitude to PSA-13 for bringing to the island-province their services to the residents.
“The mobile services are anticipated to bring about substantial savings for our residents in terms of both money and time, eliminating the need for them to undertake the long journey to Butuan City to secure these vital documents,” Demerey said.
The mobile services being conducted at the Provincial Public Employment Services Office at the Provincial Capitol in San Jose town aims to provide convenient access to essential documents such as marriage certificates, birth records, certificates of no marriage, and death certificates.
“This collaboration between the PSA-13 and the provincial government also underscores a commitment to improving the quality of life for residents in Dinagat Islands by bringing government services closer to their communities,” Demerey said.
The joint effort, he added, also signifies the government’s dedication to serving its citizens and addressing the needs of communities, particularly those in remote areas. (PNA)
