The Philippine Sports Commission, led by chairman Richard Bachmann, participated in the “Change the Game: Global Ministerial Sports Conference” held at UNESCO headquarters in Paris, France on July 23 to affirm the country’s solidarity in promoting an inclusive and safe sporting atmosphere.

This conference precedes the opening ceremony of the Olympics in the French capital on Friday.

The event brought together ministers, sports organizations, high-level athletes, private sector representatives, investors, social entrepreneurs, and other stakeholders to discuss the role of sports in driving transformative social development.

“So many lessons learned about changing the game that we can actually put on our own framework while continuing the success of Philippine sports. Truly, sports can make a significant difference in our society,” Bachmann said in a news release on Friday.

Key discussions focused on developing and implementing more inclusive and high-quality physical education and sports policies, programs, and practices.

“These key insights are crucial for the advancement of Philippine sports. We, at PSC, are committed to ensuring a completely safe sporting environment for everyone, regardless of age, gender, or nationality,” Bachmann added. (PNA)
