The Manila City government is treating residents and visitors to a new form of entertainment for the holiday season.

Passersby at the City Hall can watch three-dimensional (3D) films reflected on one of the iconic landmarks in the city, the Manila Clock Tower.

In a statement Tuesday, the Manila Public Information Office said the show dubbed “Sama-Saya sa Liwanag” was launched on Dec. 15 and will run for the entire holiday season.

The nightly 3D show features lights and stories during the hourly screening from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m.

The Manila Clock Tower is being managed by Jose Ma. “Koi” Belmonte of the Department of Tourism, Culture and the Arts of Manila (DTCAM) headed by Charlie Dungo.

Mayor Honey Lacuna said those interested are advised to position themselves at the grounds of the Kartilya ng Katipunan located right behind the famed Bonifacio Shrine beside the City Hall.

Meantime, Lacuna thanked all those who extended support during the city government’s gift-giving activity dubbed, “12 Days of Christmas”, where a total of 740,000 families received the Christmas food boxes containing Noche Buena items.

The gift-giving drive, which ran from Dec. 1 to 12, is part of the city government’s program to ensure that all families will have food on their tables come Christmas Day. (PNA)
