A farmers’ association in Bayugan City, Agusan del Sur received a storage and sorting facility from the police Tuesday.

The facility was donated to the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps) farming group in Barangay Calaitan, the Police Regional Office (PRO) 13 (Caraga) said in a news release Wednesday.

“The facility is a quick-impact project under the Revitalized Pulis sa Barangay (R-PSB) program,” it said.

PRO-13 Director, Brig. Gen. Christopher Abrahano, and Agusan del Sur Police Provincial Office Director, Col. Yahya Yusup, led the turnover.

“I encourage you to sustain this initiative,” Abrahano said. “Your livelihood may seem simple but it can transform lives.”

The R-PSB program provides government services to communities, particularly in remote areas, he said.

Magellan Labor, the association’s president, said the facility is vital for members, who can now sort their produce before going to market.

He thanked the police and the city government for their support. (PNA)
