The song talks about two best friends who are thinking about entering a relationship. It was first teased by Star Music after they uploaded a fan fiction inspired by Mika and Brent.

Its lyric video has reached over 312,000 views on YouTube in five days and was featured in Spotify’s New Music Friday PH playlist.
The song follows Mika’s recently released debut single, “Sino Nga Ba Siya,” which reached over 1 million streams on Spotify and topped the iTunes Philippines and United Arab Emirates charts. The Kapuso star’s old song cover became a viral sensation, leading the single to peak at no. 3 in Spotify Philippines Viral Songs chart.
“What If Tayo?” is the first song of Brent, who recently appeared in the digital film “The Four Bad Boys and Me.” The Kapamilya actor also starred in the music video of Philpop Himig Handog’s winning song, “Wag Paglaruan.”
