Cavite-based six-piece band Off To Aurora makes its debut with “Sampung Hakbang,” a heartfelt anthem about love that perseveres through distance and fear.
“Nasulat ko siya last year after ma-form yung band. Sinulat ko siya para sa isang tao na nag-inspire na magsulat ulit ng mga kanta,” said lead guitarist Kyle Faustino in an interview with One Music PH.
The alternative rock song released under DNA Music was composed by Kyle and produced by Angelo Zipagan.
“First time namin mag-record ng kanta at challenging siya dahil maraming kailangan palabasin na emotions dahil gusto namin maparating yung message ng song sa listeners,” bass guitarist Benedict Borja added.
Aside from Kyle and Benedict, the up-and-coming band consists of other members: Idean (lead vocalist), Kiel (keyboards), Yuri (rhythm), and Patrick (drums). Formed in September 2024, the group blends modern indie and rock with the sincerity of acoustic storytelling.
“Galing kami sa iba’t ibang bands and nagkakilala kami through our manager na may project na bumuo ng isang band na may isang sound individually. Doon kami nabuo,” Benedict shared.
The band celebrated the single’s release with a launch party held in Gigmusic Hall at Tagaytay last Saturday (Sept. 27).
