Knowledge Channel Foundation Inc. (KCFI) continues to support holistic learning development across the country as it provided Knowledge Channel TV sets and various educational materials to schools in Visayas and Mindanao throughout September, in line with BPI Foundation’s (BPIF) FinEd Unboxed program.

Throughout September, the collaborative project visited Isabela City (Basilan) and Zamboanga City in Mindanao, before heading to Guimaras and Iloilo City in Visayas. The recipient schools received comprehensive learning packages featuring a 55-inch Smart TV equipped with a Knowledge Channel Portable Media Library (KCPML) containing over 1,500 curriculum-aligned video lessons designed to integrate interactive multimedia learning into daily classroom activities across grade levels.

Alongside the turnovers, KCFI and BPIF premiered new episodes of “Estudyantipid,” an original educational series designed to teach financial literacy to young learners through relatable scenarios and practical guidance.

KCFI vice president Edric Calma expressed gratitude for the continuous support of BPIF in its advocacy to make multimedia learning resources closer to more Filipino learners nationwide.

“Through our partnership with the BPI Foundation, we are building on that legacy. The turnover of the Knowledge Channel TV does not merely provide access to our curriculum-based video lessons, but is an investment in the future for every learner who will benefit from curriculum-aligned video lessons, all developed to make learning more engaging and fun, more interactive and constructive, and more effective and relevant,” Edric said.

“At BPI, we believe that financial education is a powerful tool for empowerment. By helping young Filipinos develop practical money skills early, we can help build a generation that is more responsible, resilient, and prepared for the future,” said BPIF trustee Mary Catherine Elizabeth Santamaria.
