Fifty micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) are set to tell their stories on how they managed to survive and succeed during the 1st “Sarabay-saBUY, sa Albay” trade fair at the Albay Astrodome on Friday.

In a press conference on Wednesday, Jaymee Florence Estrada Ribaya, head of the Local Economic Development and Investment Promotion Office (LEDIPO), said the event aims to invite local entrepreneurs or those planning to engage in business to be inspired and get an idea on how to become successful.

“We want to convey that engaging business in Albay is possible and can be successful, as proven by our 50 Albay-homegrown enterprises. This is an opportunity for our businessmen to share their stories and showcase their products,” Ribaya said.

She said the provincial government of Albay would also recognize local businesses by helping introduce them to a wider market.

“This is one way for our office to inspire future entrepreneurs. We will help them through capacity-building and link them with the right agencies that can help them start up their businesses,” she said.

Some of the businesses that will be featured at the trade fair are local food, health and wellness, motor and car services, massage, and spa.

Ribaya added that they are collaborating with investors and government agencies to promote the event.

The trade fair will be open to the public from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.

In the evening, there will be a Media and Governor’s Night to honor the 50 MSMEs and launch the first 250 copies of the LEDIPO business magazine, which will feature their inspiring success stories.

Ribaya is encouraging the public to attend and support the trade fair. (PNA)
