Do you miss the hit Eraserheads-themed jukebox musical? Don’t worry because “Ang Huling El Bimbo” will be returning to the stage next year!

In their Facebook and Instagram posts, Fullhouse Theater Company, the production company behind the popular musical, announced a call for auditions for the upcoming production.

“Hindi mo na kailangan ang magtago’t mahiya!” they posted. Those interested in auditioning must send a 3-minute video of themselves singing a song from the musical, along with their CV, a scanned copy of their vaccination card, and a half-body photo. All requirements must be submitted by August 20, 2022.

The production company is looking for new cast members for their principal characters, including the young and old versions of Joy, Hector, Emman, and Anthony. They are also opening the auditions for the ensemble cast.

Although not many details have been laid out regarding the upcoming musical production, the email address for the audition, [email protected], hints at the premiere year of the show.

Ang Huling El Bimbo is a musical written by Dingdong Novenarion featuring the hit songs of the iconic 90’s OPM band Eraserhead. It revolves around the lives of three college friends—Emmon, Anthony, and Hector—all from different backgrounds—as they meet again two decades after graduation following the murder of their friend Joy.

The play had its first show in 2018 and ran again in 2019. It became available for streaming online in 2020 as a fundraising activity for those affected by the COVID-19 pandemic.
