Agrarian reform beneficiary organizations (ARBOs) have sold more than PHP1.16 million agricultural products during a five-day fair.

Data provided by the Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR) on Wednesday show that 27 ARBOs earned PHP1,166,062 at the Feria de Camarines in Naga City from July 17 to 21.

The annual trade fair provided ARBOs a chance to showcase and sell local food, agricultural, and hand-made products of land reform beneficiaries.

In a statement, Rodel Martirez, officer in charge – Provincial Agrarian Reform Program Officer II, said the participation of farmers is proof of the booming agriculture in Camarines Sur.

“Through this type of activity, our farmers are more encouraged to improve their products. DAR’s support will continue to provide a wider market for local products,” he said.

Martinez said the PHP1.16 million revenue reflects the growing support for Bicolano farmers, a step up for the province’s economy. (PNA)
