An official of the Commission on Elections (Comelec) in Baguio on Monday reminded the public to avoid the rush and register early for the barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan elections on December 5, 2022.

Baguio election officer John Paul Martin told the Philippine News Agency that the registration will run from July 4 to July 23 this year from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily, except Sundays.

“It will just be short, so be ready. Those who are 15 to 17 years old on the day of the polls can also register but they can only vote in the SK elections,” Martin said.

He said voters should bring any valid proof of identification and fill out a registration form.

The registration will also accommodate applications for transfer, correction of voting records, and reactivation of records.

“Voters whose record was deactivated due to failure to vote for two consecutive regular elections may reactivate their records,” he said. (PNA)
