The Filipino horror comic adaptation, Trese becomes an inspiration for the country’s Balik Batik social enterprise for Filipino traditional clothing which showcases its artistry through various Filipino ‘’batik’’ clothing.

Veronica Baguio, owner and founder of Balik Batik got inspired by Alexandra Trese’s costume and transformed the protagonist iconic costume into a terno blazer with a touch of a contemporary Filipiniana look.

“We loved Trese so much, our team made a Filipiniana Blazer inspired by Alexandra’s iconic outfit!” Balik Batik posted on Instagram.

Baguio used the Oleg Cassini fabric for the black and white duchess satin for the lining and added some notable Filipino-style butterfly sleeves.

Netflix’s anime Trese was created by Budjette Tan and Kajo Baldisimo, which combine an interesting series of urban fantasy and real-life crimes.
