The province of Bukidnon recorded the highest agriculture and fisheries production among all provinces in 2024, according to the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA).

In a statement released Wednesday, the PSA said the country’s overall agrifishery production reached PHP2.41 trillion, with crops contributing the largest share.

Bukidnon emerged as the top contributor with PHP145.60 billion, the highest value of production among provinces.

Trailing Bukidnon were Pangasinan with PHP93.49 billion; Pampanga, PHP93.29 billion; Negros Occidental, PHP83.02 billion; and Batangas, PHP82.37 billion.

For crop production, Bukidnon led the country with an output valued at PHP93.36 billion, surpassing Isabela, Pangasinan, Nueva Ecija, and Negros Occidental, which ranked among the top producers.

Batangas, meanwhile, led in terms of production in poultry and livestock, amounting to PHP36.70 billion and PHP32.28 billion, respectively.

Following Batangas in the poultry production were Bulacan, Pampanga, Tarlac, and Cebu; as well as Bukidnon, Cebu, Davao del Sur, and Pampanga for the livestock sector.

For output in the fishery, Pampanga logged the highest production worth PHP37.9 billion, followed by South Cotabato, Pangasinan, Palawan, and Zamboanga del Sur. (PNA)
