Cebu Pacific, in partnership with the Autism Society Philippines (ASP), celebrated World Children’s Day by bringing back “ASP Autism Angels Take Flight,” an initiative designed to familiarize children on the autism spectrum and their families with air travel.

ASP participants experienced a mock airport setting, complete with a check-in area and boarding gate. This hands-on approach allowed them to familiarize themselves with travel procedures in a supportive environment. The children were also toured inside a CEB aircraft where they enjoyed in-flight activities and games.

“Cebu Pacific believes in making travel inclusive, equitable, and accessible for all. Our partnership with the Autism Society Philippines is a step towards understanding and addressing the needs of children with autism. We are thrilled to be part of this activity that celebrates diversity and inclusivity, especially on World Children’s Day,” said Candice Iyog, Chief Marketing and Customer Experience Officer of Cebu Pacific.

“Adventures like this are heaven-sent. As autism awareness has been actively promoted over the years, we strive for more. We seek acceptance, appreciation, and accommodation for people on the spectrum,” shared Grace Adviento, ASP Trustee and ASP AUdventures Program Head.

CEB also conducted sensitivity and response training for selected employees so they could better understand the needs of passengers with autism.

More than 50 people on the autism spectrum from various ASP chapters joined the activity. Each participant received a special loot bag from Universal Robina Corporation (URC), as a token of the day’s activities.
The “ASP Autism Angels Take Flight” partnership is part of CEB’s broader effort to promote inclusivity in air travel and highlights the airline’s commitment to serving a diverse customer base.
