Customers of Cebu Pacific (CEB) could soon rebook their flights twice, up to two hours before departure, via “Flexi”, the carrier’s latest add-on product.

Upon booking their flights either through the web or mobile app, passengers could choose this add-on for PHP499 for domestic flights, PHP799 for international short-haul, and PHP1,099 for international long-haul.

They would also need to pay for the difference in fare should they rebook their tickets. Regular rebooking fees cost PHP1,500 to PHP2,800.

In a statement on Wednesday, CEB announced that “Flexi” would be available starting October 22. Along with its roll-out, all CEB flights booked will also be non-refundable, the carrier added.

CEB claimed that this option is a first of its kind among local carriers.

“Flexi is a great complement to year-round low fares as it provides the power and option to rebook flights should the need arise,” Candice Iyog, CEB vice president for Marketing and Customer Experience said, adding that ‘Flexi’ is 60 percent cheaper than the regular rebooking fees.

Iyog said launching the “Flexi” would give CEB customers the peace of mind that the flights they booked would not go to waste.

According to CEB, some of its customers find that buying new tickets is cheaper than paying for the rebooking. (PNA)
