Around 50 business exhibitors joined the two-day Negosyo Expo in this city set from Tuesday to Wednesday, catering to both aspiring and seasonal entrepreneurs.
Engineer Jefferson Livara, director of LIV Media Corporation, the organizer of the exposition, in an interview, said it is an avenue or an area where everything is all-in-one, where attendees or participants are trained and may avail of the business packages offered by the exhibitors.
“From trainings, we will train you here. We will teach you how to start a business. We will teach you how to become a businessman, how to become an entrepreneur. If they say, I don’t have money, I don’t know how to start a business, here are your sources on how you can start. And if you don’t know where to start a business, we have different exhibitors who have different products that they offer,” he said.
All exhibitors are categorized and they offer business packages, he said.
“The cheapest, actually, you can start with zero capital. We offer zero capital because it’s like you’re their agent. Later on, there will be talks where their representatives will discuss their businesses. There is an online virtual assistant wherein you can do business in your own house,” Livara said.
He said it is open to everyone who wants to do business, and it is for free.
Among the training topics are Developing an Entrepreneurial Mindset, RCBC Negosyo Bundle, Hassle-Free Importation: How SMEs Can Safely Bring in Products from China on Day 1, and Prosperity with Purpose: Aligning Finances with Faith, How to put up a Tutorial Center, Digital Marketing & Branding, Why you need a POS (Point of Sale) in your Business, How to start a Drop-shipping Business, and Building a Successful Aesthetic & Spa Business on Day 2.
City Mayor Belen Fernandez, in her speech during the program, said the two-day Negosyo Expo is a celebration of creativity, courage, and commitment to business and innovation.
“This event is not just about showcasing franchise opportunities or business ventures, it is also about providing free seminars and mentorship to support our aspiring entrepreneurs, the dreamers who will soon become the builders of our city’s future,” she said.
Lorraine Ann Pimentel, a college student from Palaris College in San Carlos City, said she got interested with the beauty and health product business.
Advice to aspiring entrepreneurs
Livara said an individual should do a business he or she is passionate about.
“There are times when it’s really hard, but it’s our passion. More than the money, it’s the passion. If it’s your passion, you’ll do it and then you’ll come back stronger. Start with your passion. Because each and every one of us is uniquely created by the Lord. We have a unique purpose, each one of us. So let’s just discover what that purpose is,” he said.
Livara also urged young entrepreneurs to start small and dream big.
“Because most of them want to start big right away. That’s hard. It’s hard. Even in work, they want to be a boss right away. No. We should adhere to the principle of progression that we’re talking about. Don’t be afraid to start small. When you succeed, little by little, you do improvements. When it gets better, you expand. And then when your business gets better, when you master it, you franchise your business,” Livara said. (PNA)
