Up-and-coming artist Dani Zam has released a new upbeat single titled “Love Over Me.”
“I really wanted to try producing a dance track, something that would get people up and moving, something that they can do choreography to. But at the same time, I wanted it to still have meaning and depth,” she said.
Aside from writing the music and lyrics, Dani co-produced the track with Selah Studios’ Joshua Angan. Their production choices, notably in the synths and vocal arrangements, are meant to encapsulate the promise and hope of falling in love.
“Being a producer myself, I’m very particular with how I want things to sound, so being able to really dig in and challenge myself in creating something like this, which is out of my wheelhouse, I think is a huge win,” she added.
Last month, the singer-songwriter released the High School Musical-inspired music video for her single “beso,” which entered the Spotify Philippines Viral Songs Chart, peaking at no. 61.
The track was the single which kickstarted the release of the extended play (EP) she dropped late last year named “curfew,” which also includes other playlist-featured songs like “ever” and “moon.”
