The Department of Migrant Workers in Northern Mindanao (DMW-10) on Wednesday partnered with 27 agencies, institutions and organizations to strengthen its newly launched reintegration program.

The signing of the memorandum of agreement here with the 27 groups is part of the reinforcement of DMW-10’s National Reintegration Network (NRN) for returning Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs).

DMW-10 officer-in-charge Emmanuel Toledo during the program said they acknowledge the struggles of OFWs working overseas and finding opportunities when they return home after finishing their contracts.

“We can build a Philippines where coming home is not the end of the journey but the beginning of new and endless possibilities,” he said.

Together with the Department of Labor and Employment-10 and the Overseas Workers Welfare Administration-10, the DMW spearheaded the launching of the NRN, a united effort to support OFWs through sustainable reintegration and livelihood opportunities.

During the event, 59 completers received seed grants under the “Sa Pinas, Ikaw ang Ma’am at Sir” program; 64 beneficiaries received support through the “Livelihood Program for OFW Reintegration”; and 20 Aksyon Fund recipients were recognized for their remarkable determination, successful transition and inspiring reintegration journeys.
