The Department of Tourism (DOT) is committed to promoting a Philippine tourism industry that is sustainable and inclusive in the years ahead, Tourism Secretary Christina Frasco said Wednesday.

In her Christmas Day message, Frasco said the DOT would work toward creating more jobs and enhancing travel experience for tourists.

“Together, we continue to build a tourism industry that is sustainable, inclusive, and reflective of the heart and soul of our nation,” she said.

“Looking ahead, we remain committed to creating more opportunities for Filipinos, enhancing the visitor experience, and ensuring that our tourism industry becomes a true pillar of national pride and prosperity.”

Meanwhile, she encouraged the public to keep the bayanihan spirit (sense of community) and the country’s unique traditions alive.

“These have not only brought us through the challenges of the past year but have also fueled our aspirations for a brighter future,” she said.

“May this season inspire us all to Love the Philippines, as we share the beauty of our nation with the world.” (PNA)
