The Department of Trade and Industry in Western Visayas gathered 150 micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) from the region for the five-day 2025 Panubli-on trade fair, showcasing the best of the region’s craftsmanship, creativity, and heritage.

The annual trade fair gathered MSMEs from Aklan, Antique, Capiz, Guimaras, Iloilo, and Negros Occidental, offering products ranging from fashion and lifestyle items, home decor, food items and beverages, processed foods, delicacies, coconut-based products, coffee, cacao products, handcrafted souvenirs, and handwoven fabrics.

In her message during the opening rites Thursday, DTI OIC Regional Director Ma. Dinda Tamayo, said the fair aimed to provide a genuine platform to showcase the region’s heritage and drive MSMEs to be “better and best.”

“The products that you see are not just a transformation of raw materials but the magical craftsmanship and creativity imbued in them,” she said.

She said they are proud that MSMEs have positively progressed to new levels of product development.

“The array of new products — attractive as well as functional labelling and packaging — stand at par or higher than their counterparts,” Tamayo said.

She also urged the public to shop through cashless transactions.

The fair targets to generate some PHP8 million in sales. (PNA)
