The Dubai Silicon Oasis hosted a groundbreaking trial and will have its three-week drone delivery trials to ensure its effectiveness for the public. The effectiveness of the drone includes the assurance of the safety and security of the consumer goods that will be transferred using the drone.
According to its creators, the goal of the BVLOS delivery drone is to have development when it comes to technology concerning airspace for unmanned aerial vehicles. Considering this field, the team wanted to help with innovations when it comes to the transportation of goods via drones.
“This cooperation aims to enhance security and safety standards and enable public and private entities to use drones to provide the desired services. It will regulate activities related to the use of drones and create an environment conducive to investment in this sector in order to contribute to the strategy to make Dubai a center for the drone industry and smart and innovative air transportation systems,” the Executive Director at the Dubai Civil Aviation Authority said.
Taking this into account, this innovation from an international country will then show that innovations in such a field are possible and can be an inspiration to other countries, helping individuals to also benefit from such technology.
