A 10-month-old Filipino-American baby was named the newest face of the international baby product company Gerber Baby for 2023.
Based in Colorado, the United States, Gerber Baby announced that baby girl Madison, or Maddie, was the winner of the Gerber Photo Search 2023 and its newest spokesbaby and chief growing officer.
âMaddie is already a world traveler, an adventurous eater, and an animal lover! We canât wait to see all that Maddie will accomplish this year,â Gerber wrote on its website.
Maddieâs parents, Crystal and Jun Mendoza, belonged to first-generation immigrant families from the Philippines. Most of her family served in the United States Navy and Air Force, including her father.
Following the announcement of Maddieâs winning moment, her parents expressed their excitement about having their baby as the new face of Gerber.
âItâs definitely been surreal. It’s like a dream. I feel like a one-in-a-million shot we never thought sheâd be a [Gerber baby]. We are just so grateful for this opportunity and excited for the world to meet Maddie,â Jun said.
Considering that Maddie was a baby that was born after a past miscarriage, her parents were really happy to have this achievement.
âMaddie has been the sweetest blessing. Every milestone, every snuggle, and every moment with Maddie has made life that much more meaningful and beautiful,â Crystal said.
Declared Gerberâs chief growing officer, Maddie will receive a $25,000 cash prize, a one-year supply of Gerber products, and a complete wardrobe from the Gerber clothing line.
Moreover, Maddie is entitled to be featured on the companyâs brand campaigns for the whole year and will collaborate with its efforts to promote healthy development in other babies.
Gerber is a well-known international baby product company that originated in Michigan. From 1931 to 2021, Ann Turner Cook was the face of the product.
