The luck is on her side, as a Filipina bagged the grand prize in a weekly draw game in the United Arab Emirates, giving her financial support for over 25 years.

In the recently held Emirates Draw’s FAST5 draw, another winner was declared by the weekly game to win its grand prize of AED 25,000 every month for the next 25 years.

Betting on her favorite numbers, Filipina Freilyn Angob was the second winner to receive such a prize. This grand prize will comply with the statement under UAE law that Emirates Draw should give monthly payments to the winner for the said number of years.

This win was truly a blessing for the Filipina, as she disclosed in an interview with the media in the UAE that she is currently experiencing financial struggles, which also resulted in her postponing their wedding with her partner.
“I thought to myself again, maybe I won a small cash prize. But when I received the congratulatory email mentioning that I won the grand prize, my fiancé and I jumped with joy,” Angob said in an interview.

Besides having money for her dream wedding, the Filipina also disclosed that this would be a big help to their family, noting that her father was previously diagnosed with cancer and she is the breadwinner of their family.

Angob has spent ten years of her life working and living in the UAE to sustain their everyday needs, noting that the money that they get from managing a small store that was established by her father is not enough.

Angob was the first Filipina to win such a prize and is the next winner after an Indian expat, Mohammed Adil Khan, won the same grand prize last July. Filipinas will be able to receive an approximate amount of Php387,000 every month.

FAST5 is a weekly game in the UAE that caters to any individuals who reside in the country, giving prizes to its players, starting with a grand prize of AED 25,000 every month for 25 years and three guaranteed winners of AED 75,000, AED 50,000, and AED 25,000 each.
