The young sensation, hailing from a family deeply rooted in the sport, showcased her skill and composure by defeating Sarah Abuhijleh of the United Arab Emirates, 3-0, to capture the Kids 2, Girls Gi, 22 kgs, A Class (grey belt division) crown at the Abu Dhabi World Professional Jiu-Jitsu Championship (AJP).
Aguilarâs journey to the final was marked by precision and dominance, including a semifinal victory over Maitha Almas of the UAE, whom she submitted via armbar.
This triumph marks Aguilarâs fourth title at the AJP World Championship, a premier event renowned in the Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu community for featuring top athletes from around the globe.
Her father, Alvin Aguilar, the founding father of Filipino mixed martial arts, witnessed her latest success at the Madubala Arena.
Aguilarâs focus and discipline on the mat have been evident from the start, and her dedication continues to pay off. This year, she has maintained an undefeated streak, adding to her growing list of achievements.
