Amazon Prime Video dropped Wednesday, August 4, the first trailer for Cinderella.

Singer-songwriter Camila Cabello will star in the forthcoming musical romance film Cinderella, based on the famous fairy tale with the same titular name.

In a Twitter post last July 1, 2021, Amazon Prime Video published a preview for Cinderella, showcasing Cabello’s beautiful and powerful vocals.

On the same day, the movie’s poster was unveiled, featuring Cabello in a dazzling purple gown and the trademark glass heels.

Meanwhile, Cabello expressed her excitement on her Twitter account for the official release of the film.

“This was one of the most magical experiences of my life. I can’t wait for you to see it,“ she tweeted.

Cinderella will be a modern version of the classic narrative about a young woman named Cinderella who lives with her not-so-evil stepmother and stepsisters.

Idina Menzel will portray Ella’s stepmother, Billy Porter will play Ella’s fairy godparent, Fab G, and Nicholas Galitzine will play her prince in Cinderella. The mice-turned-footmen are played by Pierce Brosnan, Minnie Driver, James Corden, Romesh Ranganathan, and John Mulaney.

Kay Cannon, who also wrote and directed the Pitch Perfect series, wrote and directed this picture.

The picture was supposed to be released in theaters in February, by Sony. However, they chose to sell the film’s rights to Amazon owing to market uncertainties caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.

The film will be available on Amazon Prime on September 3rd.
