Processed fishery products and salt from other provinces were sold at the Kadiwa ng Pangulo for the first time with the help of the Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources, Antique provincial government community affairs officer and Kadiwa coordinator Ge Anthony Recopuert said in an interview Friday.

“Fishery products such as squid crackers, dried fish, and salt from Iloilo province were sold,” Recopuerto said.

He said that for the first time, exhibitors from Iloilo and Guimaras provinces joined the Kadiwa in Antique.

Recopuerto said handicraft makers and gemstone processors will be invited to join Kadiwa at the Business Park on Nov. 17 to 21 so they can sell their products as gift items for the holidays.

The Department of Labor and Employment provides daily wage of PHP480 to the exhibitors under the Tulong Panghanapbuhay sa Ating Disadvantaged/ Displaced Worker (TUPAD) for the entire duration of the Kadiwa. (PNA)
