Miranda told fans to sign up for the waitlist and wait for further ticket announcements. The initial schedule of ticket sales for Hamilton is set for April 24.

The GMG Productions’ CEO, Carlos Candal said “We could not be more excited to be hosting Hamilton’s Asian premiere in Manila. We know we have a passionate Hamilton fan base who is absolutely thrilled that the show is coming later this year. We know Pinoy ‘Hamilfans’ will not disappoint!”

The Asian premiere of Hamilton was announced to take place in a hotel theater in Manila this September.

Hamilton first premiered in 2015 at the New York Public Theater. It took the whole world by surprise with its indeed world-class and exceptional performance and cast production.

The musical play is one of the first historical musicals composed of non-white actors. The production showcases the story of the United States of America’s founding fathers and historical figures, most especially Alexander Hamilton.

The musical is based on Ron Chernow’s 2004 biography of the American statesman Alexander Hamilton, which was eventually adapted and designed for play production by Lin-Manuel Miranda.

When the Broadway musical was released, it won various recognitions and prizes in well-known awards such as Tony, Grammy, Olivier, and Pulitzer.
