7. Dr. Romeo Gregorio “Greg” Macaset III, anesthesiologist, Manila Doctors

Dr. Gregario Macaset was an anesthesiologist at Manila Doctors Hospital.

In a statement provided by Greg’s godson, Renato Paraiso, he recounted how it was his Ninong Greg’s compassion and undying dedication to his patients that became some of his most admirable traits.

“Never niyang pinabayaan ang mga pasyente niya,” Renato shared. Dr. Macaset served in the emergency room, attending to the area with the most high-risk patients, alongside his wife, Evalyn.

Manila Doctors Hospital honored him as a “brave man [and] one of the best anesthesiologists in the country. “No words can convey the depth of our sadness as we lost not just a doctor but a friend, colleague, co-worker, father, and husband,” they said.

Dr. Gregario Macaset passed away on March 22, 2020. He was 62 years old.
