KZ Tandingan’s newly released soulful track “11:59” has a special place in her heart not only as her first internationally released single but also because she considers it closest to who she is as an artist.

“Out of all the songs I’ve released in the past, this I think is the closest to who I really am. This is really what I wanna do with my music, the sound I want to release out there,” KZ, Asia’s Soul Supreme, shared.

She also talked about the newly launched “11:59” music video, which plays around the message of the song and the concept of time represented in one continuous shot.

“I’m super proud of what we came up with. We did six layouts in one take,” KZ enthused.

Dominic Bekaert of Zoopraxi Studio, who directed and conceptualized the music video, also shared the inspiration behind his visual masterpiece. “Listening to the song what we found beautiful in ’11:59′ is she gives her boyfriend a minute to come forward with the truth and explain what he has done, what he is hiding,” he said.

“To symbolize it, we created a track that goes around, time on a loop like a clock. The camera revolves around these different confessional scenes while she tries to get the truth of him,” he added.

KZ’s latest project was composed by Grammy-nominated producer Luigie “LUGO” Gonzalez along with Paulino Lorenzo and Idrise Ward-El. It was released globally by Tarsier Records as ABS-CBN continues to showcase Filipino talents on the world stage.

The song made it to Spotify’s New Music Friday playlist in 10 territories, including Malaysia, Singapore, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Taiwan, Vietnam, Thailand, Gulf, Korea, and of course, the Philippines after it dropped last Friday (October 22).
